AstroForge
US company that states its goal is to extract platinum group metals from near-Earth asteroids. It has flown a low-Earth-orbit refinery demonstrator (Brokkr-1, 2023) whose refinery was never activated and a deep-space flyby spacecraft (Odin, 2025) that was lost within days of launch; its second deep-space spacecraft, DeepSpace-2, was in testing in September 2026 and it has not yet reached, prospected, or sampled any asteroid.

TechCrunch reported on 2022-05-26 that AstroForge closed a $13 million seed round led by Initialized Capital, with the company saying it would fund its first two missions. Initialized separately announced its investment that day.
